With our directional boring machine we drill a small hole through the ground, often underneath existing structures or landscaping.
When the drill rod (end) comes through the other side, the new pipe is attached.
We pull the pipe back through the hole that has just been drilled, leaving everything above the pipeline intact.
There is now a clean path to install lines and conduit under existing roads, railroads, ponds, streams, industrial buildings, landscaping, etc.
What situations call for directional drilling?
Whenever you have a remodeling or retrofit project that requires you to run piping or wiring under existing slab structures, landscaping, driveways, parking lots or streets, horizontal drilling can save thousands of dollars of repair or replacement.
What equipment is used for directional drilling?
A&P Directional Drilling utilizes a Vermeer 7-11 Directional Boring Machine for smaller residential jobs to minimize impact on grass and landscaping, but using larger equipment we can drill up to eight inch diameter bores.
